Day 1- Guatemala City
Airport pickup. Tour around Guatemala City.
Day 2 - Ciudad de Guatemala to Quetzaltenango
Stay at the Hotel Rotonda o Quinta Olga.
Day 3 - Quetzaltenango to Salcajá
Visit the San Jacinto Catholic Churches in the town of Sal caja and San Andrés Xecul and experience the art of candle making and traditional garment weaving
by skilled Mayan artisans. We will then head to Olintepeque and visit King San Pascual and will explain the history behind the mystery of Lake Xekikel. Back
to Quetzaltenango. Visit nearby Eco Sauna (volcano steam, medicinal plants).
Day 4 - Quetzaltenango to Rethalhuleu
Visit the archaeological park of Abaj Takalic where we will have a spiritual encounter (spiritual relaxation). Return to Quetzaltenango for regional dance presentation.
Day 5 - Quetzaltenango to Zunil
Visit historic center of Zunil. Shop at the market plaza. Visit Medicinal plant herbarium. Participate in the cultural presentation of DANCE OF THE MONKEYS
(This is a dance of prehispanic origin with a mythical theme that recalls the ancient myth recorded in the Popol Vuh (Popol Wuj), the Holy Book of the Maya Quiche).
Day 6 - Quetzaltenango to Guatemala City
Return to Guatemala City, where we part, renewed and refreshed…
